Mamma Crafts: DIY Sugar and Flour Canisters out of Formula Containers

Today I up-cycled a couple of my old formula containers into flour and sugar canisters. This is a very simple and budget friendly craft for mommies. Plus you could use them for almost anything I just chose to do kitchen canisters because I do not own any. Let's get started!
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
  1. A couple formula containers( i used the ones from Similac because that is what my baby drinks)
  2. Construction/scrap booking paper
  3. Scissors
  4. Tape/glue
  5. A permanent marker(regular markers will work too)
  6. Printer paper

Step one:
After you choose what paper design you are going to use lay your container flat on the construction or scrap booking paper and mark with your marker where you will need to cut, then cut along that line. You could use a ruler for this but I prefer to eyeball it.

Step two:
Take your cut paper and wrap it around the formula container and tape it down. You could use glue or a glue stick instead of tape, but I find it messy and it doesn't stay in place as well.
Step three:
Cut out a rounded piece of printer paper that will fit onto the top of the formula lid and write the name of the container's contents. This will not only hide the name of the formula brand, but also give you a clear indication as to what is inside of the canister's. I got lucky and happened to have two different colored lids on my containers because I had switched Braydon's formula at one point, so mine came out color coded.
Step four:

Once you have your labels written out; roll up some tape and stick it on the back of the paper, then apply it to the top of the container lid. I like doing this more then using glue because it makes it easier to change out the labels as the contents change.

Step five:
The final product is almost done! All that's left to do is add the contents and place your new fun canisters in the kitchen for display!(oh...and so you can get your flour and sugar easier, don't you just love the tbsp. scoops?!)
